Putting My Experience To Work

Thank you for visiting my site

I was born and raised in Sonoma County, and am fortunate to be raising my daughter here in the Sonoma Valley today.

As I think about my daughter’s future, I’m optimistic about the educational opportunities ahead —particularly the world-class education Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) has offered to generations of students.

Despite this optimism, there are also evolving challenges, from an aging population and rising cost-of-living to continued enrollment losses that threaten the diverse course offerings at SRJC in the years ahead.

As a Sonoma native and Senate Chief of Staff who’s helped pass meaningful education legislation, I’m uniquely qualified to address these and other issues facing SRJC. Given Sonoma Valley is often left behind in regional decision-making, I want to correct course by prioritizing educational access to our higher education system for Sonoma Valley and other communities that need greater outreach.

I’m endorsed by retiring SRJC Trustee Jeff Kunde, a majority of the Sonoma City Council, Santa Rosa’s Mayor and two former mayors, numerous teachers, students, community leaders and residents who recognize the fresh perspective and new energy I’ll provide to enhance educational opportunities for SRJC students. I respectfully ask for your vote. Thank you.
